Learn to Electronically File Federal Court Documents

Electronic filing has been mandatory since May 1, 2004

Attorneys and law firm staff can learn how to use the court’s Electronic Case Filing system (ECF) using the links below. We highly recommend that you follow these steps to become familiar with this process prior to filing a document in our court.

After reviewing the Policy and Procedures Manual you can take a guided tour of ECF using the Guided User Tutorial, complete the Electronic Learning Modules for filing an Answer, Motion, and Response and then practice e-filing a document using our Training Database. You will have a good understanding of how the Electronic Case Filing system works after completing these tasks.
