Use of Drivers’ Licenses for Entry
to the Oklahoma City Federal Courthouse
and Old Post Office Building

After considering the terms of the REAL ID Act, Department of Homeland Security guidance as to the Act’s application, and the constitutionally protected nature of the activities conducted at the U. S. Courthouse, the Western District of Oklahoma has concluded that the existing identification requirements will continue to apply for access to the Court after January 30, 2017. Oklahoma driver’s licenses and identification cards will continue to be sufficient proof of identity to enter the William J. Holloway Jr. U. S. Courthouse, the Old Post Office Building, and the U. S. Courthouse at Lawton, Oklahoma.
